Dr hab. Adam Szafrański

Adam Włodzimierz Szafrański (born in 1978) – Polish lawyer, Doctor of Science in legal sciences, member of the academic staff of the University of Warsaw, expert in the field of commercial law.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw. In 2007, based on the doctoral thesis: “Limitation to the economic freedom of public companies”, written under the supervision of Mirosław Wyrzykowski, he received at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw the PhD degree in legal sciences, field of law, specialty: public commercial law. There, in 2017, based on his research record and the thesis: “Energy law. Values and Instruments for their realization”, he was awarded the Doctor of Science degree in legal sciences, in the field of law, specialty: public commercial law. He became assistant professor at the University of Warsaw.
He worked at the University of Warsaw as the Head of the German Law School, within the framework of cooperation between the University of Warsaw and Friedrich Wilhelm University in Bonn. He also held positions in public administration bodies as the President of the Polish Energy Regulatory Office (URE) ( (1 August – 13 November 2007) and expert at the Bureau of Research of the Chancellery of the Sejm. In 2011 he was the Research Fellow at the Institute of World Politics in Washington D.C.
Member of the Editorial Board of Forum Prawnicze [Lawyers’ Forum] journal.
